Repeating Patterns for Backdrops
Modidying this theme was not easy. I saw the original template at Blogger University and I exclaimed “This is it! This is the blogger theme that I need to make my blogspot blog look like it’s in Wordpress!” 
Ripping apart the theme and getting the effect I want took longer than I thought. Then, I decided that I needed a better background image.
Repeating patterns are images that when repeated horizontally and vertically form a very nice backdrop for your site. When I started blogging, i discovered Squidfingers and the patterns he created there are just awesome. Here are some of the patterns I considered as backdrop for this site:
This one finally made the cut. I wanted something bluish, but not totally blue like it’s a guy’s blog. I glossed over the fact that it has elements of yellow in it. I managed to convince myself that it’s peach.
This one’s retro and I love it! However, I found that the circles and the color combination make me dizzy.
This is in a shade of blue that I would love to wear. As in, clothes. But sadly, it does not give me the vibe I need for this site.
I initially planned to intersperse earth colors with blue on this blog, just because browns and maroons calm me somewhat. I’d love the contrast and was undecided for hours. I still am. Hmmm…..
